Elmbridge Drama Festival thanks R C Sherriff Trust for generous support

The Annual Elmbridge Drama Festival is back at the Cecil Hepworth Playhouse, Walton on Thames at 7.30pm on 9th and 10th March 2018 thanks to the generosity of the RC Sherriff Trust.

Chairman of the Festival Ian Thomas said “This is the 57th year of the Elmbridge Drama Festival and it is down to the support of the R C Sheririff Trust that this is possible ”.

The Festival is the first round of the All England Theatre Festival annual knock out competition with the winners at Elmbridge going on to perform in the Eastern Area Final at the Norden Farm Arts Centre in Maidenhead on Saturday 13th May 2018. Winners of that go on to perform in the National Final which this year is held in the Mitchell Arts Centre, Stoke on Trent on 2nd June 2018.

The English Final winners will have the honour of representing the country in the British Final of One Act Plays to be held in the Macrobert Arts Centre, Stirling, Scotland on 6th and 7th June 2018

But critically first there will be two plays on the Friday evening and two on the Saturday followed by the award of the trophies. Adjudications from Keith Phillips GoDA Associate will be given after the last performance each evening.
